Social Reform and Transatlantic Abolition 1780–1865

I am a PhD Researcher in History at Keele University. My project is an AHRC-funded Collaborative Doctoral Partnership between Keele and V&A Wedgwood Collection. I have a Master’s degree in History from the University of Birmingham, where I also worked as Research Assistant as part of a team on the project The Histories of a Global University: Exploring Empire at the University of Birmingham. I have a legal background, having worked as a commercial solicitor in the public and private sectors. My research interests are the British Empire in the mid 18th–mid 19th century, American history, and material culture.

My supervisors are Dr Kristen Brill and Professor Alannah Tomkins (Keele University) and Dr Oliver Cox (V&A) and Lucy Lead (V&A Wedgwood Collection).
